Creative Journals

15th October

The first week back for the Creative Kids, for term 4, saw new journals and lots of activity. Journals were 'made their own' with favourite things added and different materials explored.

This little artist included her teddy and sewing – both things she loves. Even colouring some wool yellow, for teddy's filling.

She was also inventive with the glue turning it into paint by added some dye.

Monsters featured, from favourite playstation games. This one shows the monster when it was a baby.
Sometimes a scribble-drawing, which 'spaces' are then filled with colour & texture, can be a great way to start.

Different ways of working with dye were explored.
With varying outcomes.

It was great to see the artist's try new things and working-with the non-controlled nature of the dye medium.

In contrast to the free-flowing dye, these drawings saw the artist working quietly with alot of focus,
to visually tell of her love of animals.

All journals are unique, just like their artist owners. What a creative start to the term.
